Yes, but only with a normal suction vacuum cleaner - not one that has a spinning brush roll. Cleaning with a damp rag is the ideal way to clean these mats.
Is it smooth? Can I sit on it?
The common reed option is definitely soft to the touch and a pleasure to sit on. The bulrush version is more rigid and is best used underfoot.
